My only hope is they change the combat. In the last game it wasn't that fun and there were too few unit sizes, thus battles we're not long at all

Well if the second video is anything to go by it looks like they increased the unit sizes which is something that I at least was hoping they would do.

Not sure about the giant bugs as villains. It could be better if they focus on the lost legion mixed with druids of the North. Will play it for sure though.

    Some interesting informations :

    - The game will be moddable. CA please takes note of that.
    - From what I've seen battle AI is more clever, archery is less powerful
    - The campaign map is just wonderful
    - Melee is more clear
    - Paper quest are really interessant for the RPG part of the game
    - 10 january is in two days :p

    - Framerate has to be optimized

    - It seems it will be translated in german/french/spanish

    GameSpot http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6318339...iew-first-look

"If the blaring music is any indication, E3 2011 is still going strong, and one of the many exciting new games on display is King Arthur II - The Role-Playing Wargame. Like its title suggests, this is both a sequel to the first King Arthur and a hybrid game that incorporates elements of both traditional turn-based wargames and story-driven role-playing games."

"The original King Arthur offered an intriguing combination of strategy and role-playing elements, and fans of that game will have a lot to look forward to in the sequel."

    Cheat Code Central http://www.cheatcc.com/pc/rev/kingar...l#.ThFr2IKccsI

"The original game in the King Arthur series exceeded all expectations. With even more massive armies, flying creatures, a larger campaign map, and darker storyline, King Arthur II just may surpass its predecessor"

    RTSguru http://www.rtsguru.com/game/301/feat...pressions.html

"The scope of the battle quest that I saw as we neared the end of our time at the King Arthur II booth at E3 was huge and, to be completely honest, a little intimidating. The size of these battles, and the accompanying visuals, might just knock your socks off."

    Game Vortex http://www.gamevortex.com/events/sto...arthur-ii.html

" Does anyone remember when every other game announced was a strategy game and not a shooter? The days of the strategy game’s dominance have long passed, though I have a feeling the genre may see a resurrection and King Arthur II – The Role-Playing Wargame could be one of the games helping to lead the charge."

Two videos about King Arthur II gameplay at E3 – first video is about the Campaign Map and the second is about the Battles

P.S. Sorry about the many "uhmms" in the video, I was a little nervous

"This is pure RPG war-gaming in a wonderful looking setting, blending mythology and fantasy to, seemingly, great effect."

    GameDynamo http://www.gamedynamo.com/article/pr...laying_Wargame

"King Arthur II is far more visually engaging than its predecessor. The game will take advantage of a number of interface refinements, greater unit variety, more expansive environments, and deeper strategy employment backed by an interestingly-crafted narrative"

    PC Gamer http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/07/17/ki...hur-2-preview/

"King Arthur II’s melding of roleplaying and strategy, combined with its liberal stance on historical fact, means it’s enticing me like few upcoming pure RPGS or RTS games are."

it seems they have delayed the release because of the otpimization problems, I think they don't want to make a replay of SotS2...

Indeed it could usevsome optimising but my initial impression is of an incredibly promising experience both in the overworkd map and rpg elements as well as the much larger scale battles.i actually feel like the different formations make a difference to the outcome of the fight and the ability to unlock new unit tactics and options is a welcome addition that really serves to seperate the veteran legions from the fresh cuts

The only thing you can compare Tw and this game with are the battles. The campaign map in KA2 is more about questing and completing a storyline which is alot more involving then total war games.

The battles in KA2 are a mile ahead of the ones in KA1 and actually are pretty close to total war battles.

I must say i am really enjoying the prologue at the moment

The game is due to release for the 27th January announced Paradox today.

The devs asked people with poor performances in the game what are their configs and they bought computers with the same configs to be able to understand where the problem comes from and resolve it.
I have to say that it's an incredible involvement from the devs to polish the game and satisfy the customer.

The experience is certainly not linear with suprise quests random events and a totally different experience depnding on your battlefoeld and political choices and outcomes.the battles are miles ahead of the first ga,e and definitely worth a play.i wonder though.seeing as there is no routing or morale mechanism i have seen thus far...what does the willingness to fight rating impact gameplay wise...and why is there no routing mechanics instead requiring all out fights to the death...perhaps something under development..
