As spirit_of_rob said the min is 6 in a unit.

I am 99.99999% sure that Spirit_of_Rob is correct - these things are hardcoded into the game, so while you can get as low as six units, you will never get 1 alone (without some very heavy scripting at least).

You can have a unit of 1 man, but only in campaign, as the friends above said, is harcoded.

not sure this is in the rihgt place.... but im pretty certain the minimum size for a unit is 6
