    Default good historian needed

if there is somebody who is expert in ancient greek history and speaks native or really fluent english he could be of some help here for unit and building descriptions and maybe putting together some material for previews
...the team members are doing more critical stuff for the mod and we dont have time for that part atm

so if somebody is really good in that field and can help pm me
naturally people who are not experts or are prepuberal are not considered of any help at all so dont bother to offer
i want somebody who can help and roll by himself. somebody who really knows what he is doing, not somebody to learn him history

i mean people who are really good like fleinger AD, zenith darksea, rosacruz redux and a couple of others
...the mod is progressing very rapidly in coding field and nobody is available to start preparing the descriptions for ingame info cards
even if somebody could contribute some good material once and a while, that would be helpful (but i mean good material not crap)

pinn it up for a while SoR or ozz plz

k then whoever feels like volunteering, he can start by writing some typical samples of units like hoplites (athenian, spartan, theban etc), thracian peltasts, thessalian cavalry and whatever he thinks he can do better....ancient greek buildings as well...then send it to me to have a look

if its good enouph, i ll send him complete lists as well...

I STRONGLY recommend you read - The Rise of the Greeks by Michael Grant.

it has everything you want to know about most greeks states.

I have the book if you want particular details. (see attachment)

Just remember, before the time of Pheidon (668BCE??), greek aristocratic horsemen (cav and chariots) dominated the battlefield. Infantry where only secondary, and were armed only as basic spearmen (not hoplites).

Cannot wait for the finished mod!

Im a student in the ancient mediterrian empires class in school. We are currently studing the Greeks. Ive have always taken interest in ancient Greece, and have many volumes of books and electronic material on this subject. I also am a writer in my spare time. So if you still need help, I could write some for you.

Hey, admittedly, I'm not entirely sure yet if I have much time on my hands (litterally just started uni a couple of weeks ago). In 2 weeks or so when I've got a set working plan I may be able to help. However, I may not be quite what your looking for I guess- I am studying for a degree in Ancient History- with a current emphasis on the 5th century, mostly with regards to Athens, but other various states come into play too. That said, my current knowledge isnt expansive; in that I know what logically makes sense with regards to various equipment, tactics etc, but I can say precisely what each unit historically performed as - my knowledge of sources isn't vast at the moment, bar perhaps a fair amount of Herodotus. With the resources of your research though, I'll easily be able to piece it together I think- I've been doing history in one form or another for years

That all said, I am after all actually studying this period to a professional level at the moment, so I'm always coming across stuff. My use of English is. well, very good, with it being my first language. I've just started learning Ancient Greek...but I dont imagine thats an issue as of yet. If you've not got anyone in two weeks or so, contact me, and I may be able to help

i can script well i was involved in the making of the titucan mod for rtw vanilla 1.5 its old and was unpopular due to a lack of people wanting to replace the romans with old women (literally) it allowed the use of bandit biddies and granny grocers and polo pedofiles.

If someone feels intimidated by the fact that their English is not very good, but they have good knowledge on this subject and therefore would like to contribute, I would be willing to proof read your stuff and make any changes before passing them to the team!

I have waited a long time for this mod and would love to be able to help in at least some small way ... but I am not an expert on this period.
