Default Insanely powerful and exotic rebels

Is this normal? Corinth revolted against me and it called it a gladiator uprising. But the thing is; whys is their army so varied and random(Yubsteb elephants?, I never used that code..)

    strange powerful army

    massive gold-shevroned army

Yubsteb's are unstoppable...(notice men flying hundreds of feet in the air!

Usually, I win when I outnumber my enemy with Roman units...It will take 3 times the troops to defeat this insane army.

Is this normal? Because all my city revolts have been composed of weird units but this one is the worst and they seem to be getting harder. Is this some bug from increasing the power of th rebels? Not only is it extremely unhistorical, but this army has brought all operations in Greece to a halt.

    1. For the last time my mod is not meant to be historically accurate

    2. This is the gladiatorial uprising, it sometimes is bugged and gives the rebels insanely powerful troops, i will look into reducing the strength of it for future versions, but im not sure what i can do.

EDIT: after looking through the file that defines what troops appear in what armies im perplexed, none of those troops you have in that rebel army are defined in the gladiatorical uprising bit, and yutseb elephants aren't even defined in the file at all. So it looks likes its RTw springing a surprise.

I know that is not supposed to be historically correct, but why the hell is the International Army springing up in Corith, with elephants from Middle Earth?!?! Not cool.

Yutseb elephants can be activated by a cheat (notice what it spells backwards). And I do agree, the Elephants should be scrapped from the entire game

I believe i have to leave them in otherwise it will cause the game to be more buggy. But im not sure why they are in a rebel armuy, i think it may just be something RTw does every now and again.

If the game generates a gladiator uprising, and the Oliphaunt references have been removed, will this cause a CTD?

I've removed their entries from EDU, the enum and text description files. Can't remember if I removed the voice references either, but you can probably get away with this anyway. I haven't experienced the gladiator uprising event in a long old time, probably way back in vanilla when RTW was in its infancy.

You could always mod down the chances of the gladiator rising from occurring in the first place, this should minimise the chance of all this random rubbish from appearing when you least expect it.

Its not something i've done, i think RTW just sometimes springs random mixed rebel armies sometimes, this army isn't set anywhere in the rebel files so it must be because of something in the RTw.exe.

i would just like to point out that you lost to an elephant unit and a bunch of peasants. oh how sad a day for rome. you should refrain from playing as rome so that i dont shed more tears over the poor soldiers that were wasted.

I would enjoy a surprise every now and then. Not the predictable hum drum peasant army is it. Perhaps poor Longus tore his toenail.. How sad for the spoiled, arrogant romans. Perhpas you should ship your army off to Numidia for something a litle bit easier...

Not to mention the elite gladiators and naked fanatics and hoplites, and the fact that it is rediculously hard to kill yubsteb elephants with that much experience and not to mention armor.

SG, yubtseb elephants aren't coded as part of the gladiatorail uprising os this must be an easter egg. So im guessing the game may need them in.
