1) RTR is for 1.2 and if you give a non phalanx unit spears and swords it crashes.
5) Hardcoded, 2 weapons max per unit.

3) The difference is the frame rate the animation plays. Use fs_fast_swordsman for lightly armoured units, fs_slow_swordsman for heavy units, i think this is the main difference.

Could we make a throwing javelins unit to use the javelins as a spear weapon for close combat too? And when the amunation will end the unit will fight with the secondary weapon(sword)? is this possible?

No not possible, you could have a javelin and spear unit, or a javelin and sword unit, but not one which fights with javelin/spear then sword.
