Editing stats for generals

So I have been trying to edit the stats for my general (unit size). I can't seem to find my general in the units_stats_land or unit_tables. So I am assuming I am looking in the wrong place. Can someone enlighten me as to where to look? I have also read some posts that editing generals can't be done with PFM and others that say they can. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Depending on what you mean by "My general", there are several in unit_stats_land.
The generic one is Gen_Taisho, then there are entries for the historical, faction-dependent ones (like Gen_Oda_Nobunaga and Gen_Hattori_Hanzo).
Then there is Gen_Taisho_Mp which will get your avatar deleted when you try to play online after messing around with it.

I apologize for the confusion. By my general I mean the default in game generals not a custom built one. The one I am using now is Hattori Masanari.

I would like to know how to do this as well...

When I changed the General's bodyguard's stats, it did not affect my in-game unit.
