    Default Computer & T.V....

I was wondering about when you hook your computer up to a Television... I'll be visiting a friend over the weekend who i've not seen in awhile. He is, well to be blunt wealthy, and his family has a 60 inch Plasma T.V . To get to the point, how would a game like Oblivion run on a T.V, the computer has a 2.4 ghz AMD Processor & a Nvidia 6200 GPU...

Well TVs are usually limited to very low resolutions, at least all my TVs is. For example, my 52 inch projection TV is limited to 1024x800 ( Or something like that, well you get the point, its not very high). Since he's got a pretty expensive TV it might be able to support higher resolutions.

But anyways, gaming on a TV is the same as gaming on a monitor, so since the 6200 can run Oblivion on a monitor I'm sure it can run on a TV. Just don't expect very clear pictures.

I know it has something to do with right clicking on the desktop>properties>settings>display(option 2)>check box "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor". That's just to set it up on your computer. I have no idea what kinda of cables you'll need to hook it up.
Thank you for reading this assuredly fantastic post.

I know his T.V has a DVI connector in the back, I was just presuming we could hook it up that way, some how...Also, how blurry would it be? I know it is HDTV compatible, possibly that could allow higher resolutions?

That's what I should have done when I made my last movie, instead I changed the file from Windows MovieMaker to standard Windows Media which is compatable with Nero and fits nicely on a disc. Lost sound and a few other little fiddly bobs which I would have liked to have added.
