Possible memory leak?

Oh my, I've got CTD while playing Napoleon like everyone els. After a couple of turns, or while entering a battle, the CTD occur.

Now, the ? is the fact that I've got..

64-bit System and 6 GB RAM

I've tried..

Verify Integrity of the Game Cashe (It tells me that one file is missing all the time and downloads it for me) and Reinstalling the Game.None of them works.

As of the tutorial? Well, it seems I shouldn't need to make any changes at all.

P.S. My copy of Empire Total War runs just fine, though with very very very few CTD at random.

This will not help you. Now, are we talking Napoleon or empire or both?

It's Only Napoleon, and it is weird, but I'm sure it's a memory leak that causes the CTD.

And I forgot to tell you that I've got Windows 7, if I'll make a difference.

Not while playing Napoleon, no. It's all vanilla. ^^

Your computer should work for both.

In the Nvidia Control Panel, are both games' profiles set for the 540m and Prefer maximum power or how it translates in Swedish?

Something like that, yet I can't play Napoleon. I've got no mods, no fixes. Only clean installation. Steam could still be the reason for the CTD, or atleast that's what I like to believe. ^^

You don't happened to have any magical abilities that would fix my game?

EDIT: The Nvidia Control Panel couldn't find any steam games. I don't know how to fix this though.

I cannot, nor my computer find the "NTW.exe"

And my Empire works already so it can't be it if both of them are unavalible.

What happens when you verify the game cache?

It tells me that one file is missing and that steam downloads it for me, yet the file must be very small as it barely starts loading before it's complete. This happends every time.

Is it NTW.exe or napoleon.exe or napoleontotalwar.exe? My money is on napoleon.exe.

I did everything according to the tutorial in your link, alas CTD in every battle screen.

What are my options if you look at my Dxdiag?

Is the game running on the 540M or the interanl graphics chipset?

Have you tried Shader 2?

What is "Shader 2"? Please explain, while I google. ^^

No I didn't, I tried it and that resulted in the same CTD.

In Nvidia Control Panel, change it from the 540M to integrated one and see if battles work.
