    Default EDB conversion swapped malfunction

    Hello guy's
    Have a little problem with conversion-buildings not converting.

    Did not find any other thread on the precise topic I'm afraid so wrote my own. I have in TATW made a religion-switch between two nations (Dwarves and Gondor). Gondor has taken over islam from the Dwarves while they instead gotten a brand new religion named mahal.
    Everyhting seems to work out fine and as expected except that neither nations religion [called culture in TATW] increases thanks to their religious buildings.

    To save myself some time (and not done any work in EDB or with buildings before might be added) I intended to let both nations keep their current buildings.
    I did only changed what religion they are supposed toi increase in the EDB, marked red:

    So, do I have to edit somewhere else as well to make it work?
    Or do I have to switch so that Dwarves no longer have temple_muslim_castle as they no longer have islam as their religion? And that Gondor gets it instead and something brand new for Dwarves?
    Or is it something else that I've so far just missed to comrephend?

    This is a normal EDB entry for a church, what i've marked in red will convert catholic religion 5% per turn. From your post i assume you have no capability entry!

    Should have posted the code more throughoutly then, because I got that part as well.

    Meant that I only changed the line religion xxx for the previoulsy working conversion-buildings and did assume that it was all that would be required to make the buildings, in this example Gondors, convert to islam, instead of as earlier numenorian, which is Gondors new religion.

    Have you tried changing the entry in descr_sm_factions?

    Yes, as part of the factions religion-change:

    As noted in the OP the religion changed has worked out fine for the nations, they have their new religions. Just the buildings that won't convert properly.

    Yes sir, appear as in the settlement descriptions religion counter I mean.

    Now after some further testing, its seems as in newly conquered settlements the buildings do work; least right religion increases +1 or +2 each turn with a conversion building and only one ordinary unit within the city (not all to sure what factors that influence so tried to minimize them - is there a thread to read about it?).

    But still not in my original settlements, they are not affected by their conversion buildings.

    Have looked at both of them. The first of Dragon Tex (which I used ) contains a section on how to create a new building but that was not my intent. And looking at it (a bit sad layout I'm afraid) I couldn't find that any other editing than what I had done in the EDB should be required. This as I did not want to change the buildings but just what religion they converted to.

    The only other thing i can think of then, is delete map.rvm (base folder), you will definetly need to delete this if you have altered settings in the descr_regions.txt file.

    I have the old religion way of doing things, not yours or multiple religions but my experience is buildingd like temples get destroyed until you build one for your religion.

    Having said this, and having played RTW with multiple temples, the old temple stays and possinbly the new one does not show up as in RTW.

    Also to get this where you want it, may take a look at IWTE for battle maps and possibly strat maps.

    Made a new deleting of the map.rvm danny, just might be the case I did not do so after my very last editings (though was ofc aware of it and delted it during my editing progress, or I would feelt really stupid haha).

    Comes to the conclusion that religion increase when new settlements are getting a conversion building. Old settlements do as well but very much slower. Will take my time beta-test it properly now once I at least can tell it works somewhat Feel I have to read closer how conversion of regions work technically to be positive if things works out or not.
    Will bring your points into consideration irishron, there might be some good outcome from it while adjusting and testing stuff out!

    I have been thinking of a multiple religion setup for my mod eventually so any input, positive or negative, you find will be rewarding.
