    Default Titles of Generals/Hordes

    Greetings,

    i noticed that after some time family members or generals get cool names like "the horseman" or "the infantryman" and stuff like "the builder" and cool titles like "The Great" but the most interesting title that i have discovered so far is "The Editor" and i was thinking what could this mean?

    Does any1 have an idea?

    oh and i got this playing the 355 campaign m/m(yes ima noob) its 371(12tpy) and most of modern day Germany is conquered and im invading "Russia" (oh yes i took Italy and "Austria-Hungary" with ease) and storming the balkans, liberating Greece, PWNing Gaddafi and his forces in "Libya" and after taking what i THINK is Königsberg. Julianius gets the title "The Editor" i looked in his traits and ancillaries but nothing says anything like being and "Editor"

    1 more thing. How do i defeat hordes? like annihilate them. I want to get them off my map. i've depleted their army till zit but their banner is still in my territory and their making the land black!!!!

    Another thing. In the 355 campaign. is the top of the family tree is Constantine the Great?

    PS. the names in the "" are the modern names of the areas. i am very bad at remembering (even worse at spelling) ancient names of places (grammar?) no i think it should be NAMES OF ANCIENT PLACES. There we go!

    I think family members get "The Editor," when they're doing a lot of administrative work. For instance, if they're sitting back in cities doing lots of building projects and improving your economy and infrastructure. My two cents.
    (Edit): By the way, did I answer your question about the difference between Comitatenses, Palatinae, etc., sufficiently?

    No, the "Editor" means that he's obsessed with Gladiator games and so on ( an Editor was a referee of sorts ). Inside the spolier tags you'll find what types of traits that renders the character "nickname".

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    {Gladiator_Obsessed} Gladiator Obsessed

    {Gladiator_Obsessed_desc}
    This man's love of the Games and Gladiators makes him a well-loved figure among the common folk.

    {Gladiator_Obsessed_effects_desc}
    -2 from unrest (improves public order)

    {Gladiator_Obsessed_gain_desc}
    This man is famed for his love of the Games.

    {Gladiator_Obsessed_epithet_desc} the "Editor"

    ¬--------------------

    {Hero-Worships_Gladiators} Hero-Worships Gladiators

    {Hero-Worships_Gladiators_desc}
    This man's excessive interest in gladiators and bloodsports is widely regarded as unhealthy, as is his habit of dressing as a gladiator.

    {Hero-Worships_Gladiators_effects_desc}
    -3 from unrest (improves public order)

    {Hero-Worships_Gladiators_gain_desc}
    This man is now seen as tasteless and gauche for his undue obsession with the Games.

    {Hero-Worships_Gladiators_epithet_desc} the "Editor"

    I do agree that "the Editor" isn't a very good epithet, perhaps it should be changed to "the Gladiator" or "of the Sand" or something like that to make it clear what it's all about.

    ...or maybe he's just a fan of The Editors?

    I think "Editor" means he has to often reject tedious papyrus manuscripts about dashing lycanthropes and chaste but beautiful Aquitanian maidens written by a lonely senator's wife, an over optimistic Academy dropout, or a desert hermit with a particularly fevered imagination.
