Default LotR: War in the North?

Well, I just got the game a few days ago.
To my surprise, the 'lore' in-game is actually quite right- and well, some fun facts
(At least the characters are not a-holes or comic lolz)
Elrond surprise me most- he welcomed my Ranger Eradan nicely.
Wouldn't thought about that- goddamn movie.

Only that it takes movie visual inspiration-
But thanks, at least it's not EA!
    Anyone have something to share?

(I think TATW board is quite suitable for anything about LotR?)
(Mods can close this if they don't think so.)

I really enjoyed the game - till it was abrupt finished. I mean, 8 hours of mainstory gameplay for an RPG? This is much too short.
You come to Imladris when the fellowship is there, too. You kill Agandaur and a few seconds later an eagle tells you Sauron is dead. So there were 9 months of gameplay in the 6 hours playing after Imladris?
This game could have been the best middle earth game we have yet. But you finish it much too quick.

I tryed it after i tryed skyrim... It made me leave after 40 mins.
What i've seen seemed me a bit made for kids (dialogs/difficulty).
Not bad. But skyrim took me away from this.

Wait for MERP on skyrim x) it'll be out in few years

I'm going to get this game soon, it looks overally quite nice and interesting for me.
Maybe TATW team can get some inspiration from there.

These days, most games are SHORTTTTTTTTTTTTT
All rely on the absurd 'multiplayer'- oh wait
    MULTIPLAYER RPG?

    That's .
Back then, most games has epic single-player and long-lasting multiplayer.
Now we have SP and crappy MP to enlengthen the game to a reasonable place-
    These games won't last long.

Sadly there isn't lot of good RPG style LotR games- especially those do it right.
Conquest ed up once, thanks god this one is at least half-good(with the lore part helping).

    Haven't finish the game though.

The only thing we can rely on is the great modders-

Since when there are good vanilla games?

Bethesda would make the perfect LOTR game.

it's more of a hack n slash than an rpg... in fact it IS a hack n slash with a few RPG elements. I enjoyed it albeit too short as others have mentioned. Why are people mentioning bethesda? They sold out to consoles years ago, elder scrolls died with morrowind.

What are you talking about? Both Oblivion and Skyrim are great!

I agree that Skyrim is great. Oblivion had too many glaring flaws in my book (mainly the "leveling" world, Oblivion portals weren't great idea either imo). But I also agree that the "consoleness" (mainly menu handling) is unnecessary and does reduce the fun of the otherwise decent (Oblivion) and great (Skyrim) games.

I'm getting Skyrim instead myself And if the port MERP then great, but if not then I'll still be fine with it.

its kinda pathetic no gaming company has made an epic single player rpg out of LOTR.. Theres so much going on in the lotr world that a great game could be made from it..it's sad we get pathetic games like lotr conquest and others.. only decent lotr game out there rpg wise is lord of the rings online..

Any F2P/P2W games are out of the question-
they restrict the best part of RPG gameplay, which is the player being the best
-Actaully it's you have to pay more to enjoy the full feature.

Though the LotRO is quite good.
