    Default Large Scale Battles

i have this really important question
there was this show calleed decisive battles and they used rome total war as part of the show, and the battle they showed was HUGE thousands of thousands,n how do they do that.

i can only have 20 units in my army
about 1500 men and thats it.
can u have those huge battle that they describe on the cover ?

Set the unit size to huge, have the maximum number of armies you can in a battle(i think its 6 or 8) then put 20 units in each army. You will have a huge battle, but most computers just can't play it.

Unless you have some really high-powered computer you're not going to be able to have 10,000+ troops on the battlefield like they say on the box.

The people that made that show had better computers to make such large troop numbers. Many somputers that we use can only have above 6000 I beleive? That is my limit. Anyway yes to get larger battles just set the scale to huge.

It matters on your computer, I can get a bit more than 6000 total, others maybe a bit more.

Upload the image to imageshack, and then post the direct link to it in your sig and place [img] tags around it. Make sure it is within the required size limits, 468x100. And yes you can put smilies in your sig.

In case you didn't know: You need to change the unit size and THEN start a new campaign. You can not change the unit size for a game/campaign already in progress.

I've seen pictures of battles with more than 25000 participants. There are a few threads on the RTR forums (www.rometotalrealism.org) showing this, I will try and find them later. You need a super-computer, though. I think that if I did my system would crash.

trust me they definitely didnt create decisive battles on a run of the mill comp also the unit sizes shown on that show are imposible to create with the normal game they probably had CA create those battles on some super computer of thiers

Even if you have huge unit settings and have 20 warbands against 20 warbands you'll only have 9642 soldiers.
