Need help installing

I've done several video walkthroughs and done everything to the letter. I can load up the game and get as far as choosing my faction, but then when I click to start the campaign, the game crashes. Can someone just send me the proper Third_Age folder via e-mail and I use that? It would greatly apreciated.

I got it running, but now there's no sound. Cut off midgame and wont come back on. Is there a thread for that?
Windows 7 btw

e. Find compatibility folder and delete it, make sure you backup any savegames found there (there might be no saves inside as well):
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Sega\Medieval2 Total War (default path, could differ a bit)
