    Default Additional family tree

Hi, I have saw this in Stainless Steel this little feature and I'm wondering how we do this..
The Roman Empire has their usual family tree but other characters in the faction are also FM; can have child, get married but are outside the viewed family tree. How we can add additional tree?
    Regards.

in descr_strat, you male the entries for ech general wife and sons.
Then you write down his family like normal one.
they will have a family but you won't be able to see their trees becouse they are hidden (unless they become Faction Leader).

I'm going to use this general for an example.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Code:
    character	Arthur Blacke, named character, male, age 20, x 107, y 155
    traits GoodCommander 2 , LoyaltyStarter 1 , ReligionStarter 1
    army
    unit NE Bodyguard exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit Peasant Archers exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit Spear Militia exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit Spear Militia exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0

Add this to the list of family members.
    Code:
    character_record Bella, female, age 19, alive, never_a_leader
Add this below the family tree.
    Code:
relative Arthur Blacke, Bella, Rufus Blacke,	end
    Hope this helped,
    VB

So let me get this straight:

We go the usual family tree of the Faction Leader and his closest family, the primary family tree. Jet we got other Family Members who do not show up on the tree, nor their own family? (the secondary family tree) Both the primary and secondary family tree work the same, jet one is visible and the other is not? Cool.

So in the instant a secondary family member become king, what happens to his family tree? Does it get swapped into the primary family tree?

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

you will not see the "primary" tree anymore, but only the "secondary" one.

And you can have as family trees as you want I think; no hardcoded limit is known since this field is quite unexplored.
I am sure at least 4 trees are possible, haven't tried more.

I am not sure if RTW has this feature; it may have been implemented for the "disgraced Princess" event, when a princess marries a General of another faction but does not belong to your faction anymore - It happened even in vanilla M2 that a foreign princess married one of my generals, and some turns later I had a new family member out of my tree: he was their son.

You could have asked me guys, ive known about this for ages haha And yes, Rome does have this feature

Actually, now that i remember it, this is really easy to do by just using Geomod, no stuffing around and you can add as many families in as you want really quickly!

But these additional family trees die out sooner or later don't they? The game doesn't offer marriage for generals that are not members of the current king's family.

For example if my primary family tree is the House of Valois and a secondary one is the House of Guise, which can't be seen will the game offer a woman to marry Henri de Guise? If not how can this secondary family tree be maintained in the long term?

They aren't generals, they are family members just not part of the starting faction leaders family tree, so yes they get marriage proposals and kids and the whole 9 yards.

That's great! And if all the male members of the primary family tree rest in pieces only an infant princess of Valois remains will she grow up to marry someone to save her family? Or will she disappear from the game in the event of a Guise being crowned?

afaik princesses come of age as agents only if their father is leadre or heir, so when she comes of age she can get married but the traits will be lost.

True but when they are married their custom traits gained during the game also affects the general, if one wants to that is, like "Wife is ugly" etc for example.

ok, but this is triggered by the CharacterMarriesPrincess event; now, since we said the faction Leader and Heir are both dead, if she is still under age she will have no chance to gain her "rightful" traits, nor to pass them to his future husband. If she is a princess of age there is no problem obviously.
