Changing Faction's Name
Lusted, sorry to put this here, but I think you're the only one who can answer this question because you've done it. I'm working on a mod and want to change one of the Roman faction names to 'Byzantium'. I've searched all thru this forum for how to do this, changed anything I found in strat.txt, expanded.txt, shared.txt, campaign descr.......etc. but no matter what I do the faction name on the strat map still says (Brutii). I even looked in your 4.0 mod to see how you changed scipii and brutii to baktria and Ephreus?(can't remember), and it seems that you changed even less than I have. Your's works, mine don't. I'm baffled because I've checked every referrence I can find at TWC, done them all, but still says Brutii no matter what. Could you give me a pointer please? (and yes, I deleted map.rwm so many times I think I wore that spot out on the HD

Re: Changing Faction's Name
You don't need to delete map.rwm, just edit expanded_bi.txt, that contains all thre info on faction names.

Re: Changing Faction's Name
Thank you very much....that's the one file I avoided because I thought it was BI specific. None of the tutorials at TWC even mentioned that file....must be a pre-v1.5 deal.

Re: Changing Faction's Name
It is, after 1.3 the faction names are found in there, most tutorials were written for 1.2.
