Remove alliances

Hi,

I really dislike the French crushing the emerging dutch nation at the start of the grand campaign. Is it possible to remove the alliance they have with Spain and therefore stop France supporting Spain when the Netherlands inevitably declares war on Spain?

yes it is,

although you'll need to do some modding with the ESF Editor (1.4.3 or 1.4.5 are best)

what you'll want to do is tsart a campaign as france,and without doing anything else at all, break the alliance, and threaten to attack them a couple of times, to get their happiness levels down so they dont instantly rebecome allies. now save it.

now using the esf editor, create a hybrid startpos with your savegame,and the original startpos, remeber to back up the startpos from here (C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data\campaigns\main) to somewheresafe.
