got a ctd after finishing a battle 2wice. im using alex.exe on steam. playing as rome, lose or win i get a ctd. any help? need any more info for the ctd "report"

Hi all. i get a ctd after clicking the tick after every battle where it says "clear victory" or so on. below is a template and answers to the questions from this post: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=386592



- What OS do you use? screenshot

- What version of RTW do you use? Alexander 1.9(steam)

- Are you using steam or not? yes

- Install path C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war alexander

- Which launcher option have you used (exe, faction etc) screenshot

If you are reporting a game CTD please provide the additional details

- system specifications, CPU, graphics card screenshot

- graphic options selected (way too many options) max everything. 1920x1080

- ideally a compressed save game immediately prior to the CTD so we can attempt to debug after every campaign battle win or lose

And lastly, please take a picture of the error message or copy it out exactly in your thread. it just said rome total war alexander has stoped working

The error message you posted does not bring much light. Click on the "View problem details". How many armies are involved in the battle, did you attack or defend, when does it crash? It's a siege battle?

What might prevent the CTD:
1. After battle, at the battle report, wait about 20s before going back to the strategic map.
2. Always allow at least 5-10 soldiers from each opposing armies escape. It will prevent the reinforcement CTD.
3. Try to lower your graphic options and see if you still get it.
4. De-select the Hi Res Unit Models in the launcher.

will try those methods. and its almost every battle. sometimes it happened before the battle loads but thats when 3 full stacks are in play from campaign. in the battles only, the ctd's are less. i managed to play 1 battle in campaign without a ctd but that was with 3 armies during the socii rebelion using the 5 good emperors that 1 had no ctd it was 3 half stacks. 2 of mine, 1 enemies.

i had the same problem. Sometimes when i m just going around my cities or ending the turn or other stuff the cause of this CTD is random.

I used to get ctd's frequently until i realized i was not being very careful about making sure the script was truly activated each game start. Can't even risk reload's without coming completely out of the game first. If you don't see that 1 more denari added, don't continue until you do. Not had a ctd since.
