NTW3 MP Group
I have tried writing about this before but I was way to wordy so here I will try again.
1. The NTW3 I believe is much more interesting than the Vanilla NTW - it still has some tweaking to be done which should be taken care of on Version .2. very soon.
2. If you haven't aready, check it out on the internet-I think it sells itself.
3. For people interested - I am thinking about starting up a group for those who play but due to various reasons, are not able to play as frequently and therefore might wish to consider playing in a more informal group scenerio. I would descibe as independents who go on the game without having many friends who you can join in with to play and are not or do not want to be involved in a more organized group at this time.
4. There would be no special rules - other than you like to play with similar types of Napoleonic War enthusiasts.
For any game that involves the internet - scheduling times to play, hosting games, making sure everyone has a chance to play sometime during the week is really the engine that drives the club.
Shotgunning this information around the globe so that everybody knows ahead of time what is going on... I don't want Australia to be left out in the cold or someone in Germany having to play at 2 am in the morning. This would obviously need some people to help volunteer in different places to ensure that certain regions, due to difference in location and/or time zones know what is being offered.
5. The clans are a great example of how communication works and why they are such great players.
6. Communication - and the idea that everyone takes an active part and has some fun is the credo.
Anyway - this is just a thought - if you think it makes some sense, then let me know.
If not , just skip over this and move to some other good reading on this forum.
Thanks, Wargame name is Kayaker
