    Each clan has a settlement with a unique building that provide some features, including the training of special units.

    The units are totally new custom made, I realized using COW units would result bizarre, as awesome as they are, they belong to COW world. The new Orocarni units are badass looking, like the other dwarven faction that I already posted the preview.


    After some months of meditation I decided to say goodbye definitively for 3.2 KK's dwarven units, they will not be used anymore (except for ballista/catapult crews and miners). I never liked KKs dwarves, they look innocent and innofensive. Too many colors, they look like toys.


    The new ones I created look badass. Well, actually, I only did the textures, models are from Jox25 and Bucle_CT.


    I have also created new stratmap models for captains and generals for the orocarni faction (belive me they look badass ), as well as for the original dwarven faction.


    I have a feeling that everyone will love the orocarni dwarves. I think I managed to create something great, the settlements, their armor, their beards and hair... eveything seems to match, and while they look more savage/rustical/easterling than the original dwarven faction, they are still based on WETA concepts so nothign cartoonish or childish.


    Here is a example of one of their units, think about a dwarven berserker with red heavy armor, 1 axe each hand, no helmet and a mohican hair, moving 1.2x faster than normal units, like killing machines. You attack a enemy unit and all you see is your dwarves devastating them in a few seconds like a wave.


    For ballance, dont worry, the units stats and recruitment rates are totally based in 3.2 dwarves plus some small changes.


    And yet if noone likes the new faction, well you all, I love them

    Yes yes... I know.

    But as I said they will not be recruitable units, Dain's bodyguard is bOar riders, Frar Stiffbeard (leader of orocarni dwarves) has bEar riders also not recruitable, thats all. Come on it is not that lore kill, this is a game.

    I firstly got bEar riders as recruitable unit but Swagger came, gave me two slaps in my face and called me back to reality so Im now using them as unique character units as I said.

    Preview of the orocarni Dwarves is out, dont worry the textures have variations and upgrades, I just took screens of the basics.

    Nice preview! You did a good job with the textures. They do look good. The dwarves do look intimidating, nice job on them!

    Yes, that's one of the prime motivations that got me to do this effort on creating them, 3.2 dwarves look too colored and harmless like toys fighting against orcs. Im not criticizing the quality of the models/textures itself but the concepts wich I dont like.

    Now let the orcs and easterlings face the real badass dwarves.

    Uploading 4.6, will be out in some minutes.

    I would like to ask everyone playing my 4.6 to test the Orocarni Dwarvens and the Rhûn factions to check if gameplay is ballanced in campaign, as Rhûn will have now one more possible enemy. Please post your impressions about this both for Rhûn and Orocarni Dwarves factions.

    Downloaded and tried, I haven't really played TATW for years nowadays
    Sadly got an adoption offer at turn 1 with orocarni and got a general with no-name bug
    Also the Orocarni Generals (must still try the other dwarf faction) have the button that say "join the jihad" instead of... whatever it must say.

    Some ideas about this new faction:
    - The settlements are all named "House of the XX", for space reasons I suggest to rename them in "XX halls" so the tooltip is smaller and more of the map is seen. Unless you guys can come up with some more immaginific name, that is.
    - The several families are represented only by generals, they aren't "family members", wich leads to early adoption that can influence your economy... unless you use the new generals as shock infantry in battles and get them killed, but then more will get adoption.
    To tackle this (unless oc it is made to be this way) you can either:
    -- have them as family members in descr_strat (just add them in the relative section, even with "none" wife)
    -- get rid of family tree entirely.

    I think I'm going to try the 2nd solution and see if something can be done to spawn some generals randomly when you don't have many, with some sistem so they get adopted randomly in one of the clans, and their loyalty is influenced by the clan of the current leader, with some drama and unrest when leadership switches from one clan to another on leader's death.
