Awesome idea man DOl Amroth is definitively a good custom settlements to make. You can be sure a lot of people are expecting this one, so it is a good choice.

I too would really like to see more cooperation between the TaTW team and the other independant modders by the intermediate of a special forum. This would really make things more efficient. But yet, They are already doing a great work so I won't complain.

The one thing that bothers me is the release date things. I know it's almost impossible to give an exact release date, but as a modder, I have always been able to keep informed the others about the progress in my work and give them an approximate period of time were my work would be released (exemple : I should be finished around July-september but there is not guarentee).
The problem right now is that I don't know when to start my work because if have no idea if the next version will be released in 1 month, 2 month, 6 month, one year, 2 year... So I keep hesitating whether I should start right now ( if the release is planned in a long time) or if I should wait a little bit (if the release is planned in a short time).
This really bothers me a lot, because I'm eager to start my work, but at the same time hesitating because I don't want it to become useless after a next release.

Apart from that : this is a great mod and the community is amazing (one of the best i've ever seen)

Maybe if we could have a thread with whats planned for the next release this could be solved. Maybe a to-do list before next patch. No need to estipulate a date but we would know if they are working on the same settlements. I think even knowing which settlements would be next seeing them ingame in the previews still would be surprising enough.

    Yes indeed
Someone shuld talk about this to king kong.
This would be very usefull for the potential settlement modders.

I have a feeling that Barad Dűr will be one of the most impressive until now.

Considering that my model was not made to be properly textured, I guess it must be tottally remade.

I hope my old models will at least serve as inspiration, and the terrain can be used too.

And it definetely is the most needed in my opinion. I still havent played a Gondor campaign in the new 3.1 but it will definetely have a different flavour to conquer a proper looking Barad Dur rather than a medieval looking settlement.

The AI knows how to handle it. I tested it LOTS OF TIMES.

The AI even knows how to use multiple ways to reach the plaza in Dain's Halls, including the tight corridors, wich is, in my opinion, one of the most cool things made until now with these custom settlements. It is something tottally different than all we ever saw in any TW game until now, and yet so simple.
