I love your mod
Leo, I never actually played vanilla TATW, only played DAC and this alternative patch. Due to that, is it possible to change Gondor to Arnor Kingdom or that is only possible with the Free People of Eriador?
Hey, your submod is great, but I got a little problem:
Yor text files come without corresponding bin files. But I play on steam and the steam version doesn't generate bin files, so that I have text issues. For example: "{SMT_RELIGION_RECRUITMENT_REQUIREMENT}" instead of "Culture Requirement:"
Could you please upload the bin files for your submod?
Thank you very much.
My submod does noot include any changes to that scripts so it works like vanilla TATW.
If you want to chage something like this by yourself, ask in the tech support or workshop forums, people will help you there.
Thank you for warning me about this. I will include the bin files in the next release, wich will be available soon.
Following my policy of not extending the campaign map but, intead, filling it with stuff, I've been working in a new custom tile. Results are what you can see, the water torrent looks very natural and everything works fine. Its basically a bridge crossing, and it will be set in a very strategical place in the orocarni mountains, also available in custom battles.
I like the idea of focusing in custom tiles like that, it adds a lot of immersion and gameplay dynamics, and it doesnt even scratch the lore.
Impressive!

Why not!
An idea what you could try to make. In the Hobbit Tolkien mentions the great gardens of Dorwinion, so what you could try make is a custom tile filled with fruit plantations, flowers and vineyards etc. and put the tiles around Dorwinion.
These great gardens are not that apealling to me because of 2 reasons:
1 - they dont compose a strategical possition and using it as a background for battles does not seem much plausible. Its more like a lore/rpg like feature.
2- Every custom tile I make is part of my "rebel in cool places" script, wich will spawn rebel armies in these locations so to ensure battles will happen there from time to time. If we did not have this script, one could finish entire campaigns without fighting a single battle in these places (or even knwoing they are working features included in the game!). The point is that these tiles are located in passages, like bridges, Moria Halls etc, so the player/AI is forced to use these routes sooner or later, and it sound quite natural/realistical that rebels assault and controls these places.
So I would like to receve more suggestions like this from the lore masters, but lets keep the focus in places like I described above. For example, the two northern passes in the misty mountains, they are narrow and compose a perfect location to implement a custom tile (or even a custom fort) with rebel being spawn there from time to time.
What kind of tile could we place there? Maybe a dwarven fort? Is that lore accurate? I once read someone who said about the existance of dwarven forts in the misty mountains in the lore.
This is the kind of inspiration Im looking for to create new custom tiles.
No lore offense and yet immersive/strategical locatioins.
Basically, any natural landscape with cool feature like narrow passages, cracks in the ground, bridges, rivers, waterfalls are welcome.
In custom tiles we can have buildings or any other 3d model, as well as effects like waterfalls and smoke.
Feel free to suggest anything you want.

Maybe there is no need to reveal them all, the custom tiles could be triggered by scripted rebel ambushes
So, it could be a game to find these locations on the map and we have another reason to explore every place of middle Earth and it's lore..
What do you think Leo?
That a Desperados misson fort hehe .
