    Default Traits

I recruit generals as Rome, why, well, my family doesn't procreate dammit, lol. I know, health buildings and so on. But I hardly see any marriage proposals and so on.

Another trait I am getting is negative unrest (making unrest worse) and negative economics. How do I counteract those? Is there a way I can find which buildings influence traits?

Academy then Ludus Magna? I usually build those.

Also, does the taxation setting impact things as well? If I set to high, does that give bad traits as opposed to medium or very high?

i believe that as long as the population is happy (green happy face) you do not get negative traits from high taxation
can anyone second me on that?

Its "Very high taxes" mode that will grant your governors bad traits.

That's not correct. Triggers are firing when happiness is low, so the green face is the way to go!

    It is correct.

Set your taxes to very high and your governor will turn into a tyrant jackass

    Hmmm..

In all the campaigns I've played I always set my taxes to Very High if and only if the pop happiness is above 100 (green face) and I've never had bad governors because of it. Which leads me to believe that it's the Happiness level and not the Tax level that determines any change of traits for your governors.

DeWitt is right, and maybe you guys could check in the RTW general discussion for this, I'm sure it's been discussed a hundred times before.

For me Very High taxes are simply a must, both to squeeze the most out of every single settlement and to stem pop growth without having to recur to pop growth manipulation buildings.
