Okay inter-galactic buddies, I feel it is time to have my first poll on a difficult question, what's the best sci-fi out there today, which one do you most prefer?![]()

neoBSG....so totally different from classic Battlestar Galactica that i have to vote 'other'.

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

For me Revenge Of Sith is up there with the original classics in Star Wars.
I've read a lot of SciFi and there's a lot of good books around. SciFi movies and TV series generally are embarrassingly poor by comparison. Only two I've seen that were kind of OK were "Contact" and "Minority Report".

I love star wars but I voted for Star trek. Old school Kirk rules. Overacting at its best. No rly, I like trek better because it seems more plausible to me. No uber people telling others what to do like Jedi/sith. Who wouldn't want to be a jedi, all powerful jedi overlord telling others what to do. If they dont getting the wrong end of a light saber. It wouldn't be cool having a mind trick done to me. ST always focused more on intellectually solving issues, except for the occasional kirk/picard love scene with alien/doctor.![]()

People! Why are we not voting Star Wars here, come on....
I'm going to say Star Wars. It's not so, dry and dead like Star Trek.

Star Wars grated my nerves with it's basicly idiotic script for the movies and Star Trek is pretty much geek central.
Aliens pwns... but the AvP movie was the worst piece of crap I've ever seen... I mean.. a predator that teams up with a human!!!
Why has Firefly been excluded from this poll? It's easily the best sci-fi ever made. I wasn't even aware there could be disagreement about that.

Gah! Where's Predator? Terminator? Blade Runner? :O Probably would have voted T2...that film is brilliant.
I would have voted Stargate from the list...since I reckon it's ace. Good characters, good action, varying plotlines, witty at times. Generally cool. Although the latest dabbling in the Athurian thing has been pretty corny, its normally pretty darn ace.

Babylon 5! "does the fan dance"
why cant i have multiple choices?![]()
Star Wars (the new ones) sucks! Lucas must be lynched!(Btw even original 3 are not so original, everything was stolen from the original Battlestar Galactica.)
hmm i enjoyed a lot of the Stargate series it must be said.
Stargate needs MacGyver back though. Dick Anderson is a general now who only makes special appearances. Much cooler with Jack O'Neill around as Colonel.
