Can barbarians factions make any money at all on their economies with a large population? Thank you.

Oh but you did not ask how! haha

I'm sorry, the best thing to do is immediately conquer the nearest piece of Roman lands, destroy any armies the Romans might have, secure a good border (that can be defended with only a couple of armies) disband the rest of your forces, then invest in roads, farms, ports etc. In my Frankish campaign (also my AAR ) I get around 20,000 a turn, and i have not cheated once if you were wondering

You will go into debt at first, but after you conquer some roman lands and consolidate then you will start to reap it in

    Cheers

Interesting, for example, I have built roads, farms and ports for the city of Lutetia and the population is over 20,000 but it has -4358 income. Is there any way to get any income from that?

Check the settlement details panel, if it shows that you have too much squallier (the rats ) then you may need to let the city rebel then exterminate the population (thats if you have all health buildings already built)
This causes a lot of financial problems in my games when the population gets to high, and a good ol' sacking works every time

Another problem could be corruption, build law buildings to combat this (or just let the city rebel and exterminate it again )

    Hope that helped!

I had the same problems with the Goths (the orange ones in the first campaign). Go on a conquering rampage, let your initial cities rebel and exterminate. That's what I did

The minus results of the large site of your armies. The upkeep costs will ruin every city. Get rid of them!
