Disappearing General

I'm playing as Rhun and my generals, Sacal and XXX, are in Esgaroth. I move the entire army except for two units to Dale (which I own), and the army appears on the camapign map. However, they stay in place hovering over Esgaroth. Not only that, but Sacal poofed! When I find him on my Lists, it says he's still there, but he isn't.

Next turn, I redid my movement command, and the army obeyed and moved into Dale. However, sacal was still gone and the Lists still said he was in Esgaroth. No settlemt or army contained him. Anyone have this problem before?

Hmm, never heard of that. But if you want to check if he is "really" still there you could use cheats:

- move your cursor where you want to move him

- open console

You can open the console by hitting the ~ key, or the @ key on some keyboards, or the ò key on italian keyboards, the ù key on the French keyboard, or the ñ key on Spanish keyboards, or the ö key on German keyboards

- type show_cursorstat

- you´ll see the coordinates like 132,245

- then type move_character "Sacal" xxx,xxx (xxx,xxx there you type the coordinates)

If he doesn´t appear there then he is lost somehow

I know there is a known bug around Cair Andros that makes armies disappear on the small strip of land surrounding the settlement. Maybe the same thing is happening at Esgaroth.

@ Scizor of the Ring: I forgot to say that if your "lost" general is shown in your list as if he is in the settlement then you can´t move him like i said. Only if he is near Esgaroth. He must be "outdoor".

Yeah, he's inside. His card and icon just doesn't show up. Interesting about the Cair Andros, though, StealthFox. Maybe it has to do with settlements surrounded by bodies of water.
