    Default Public Health

I am wondering how public health going to affect the public order?
For instance, if I built a mine, it going to have -10% on the public health, what will my public order going to be?

I think, but i'm not totally sure that it's half the amount of health. So the -10% health will result in -5% happiness.

You can always put the building in the queue and check in the settlement details tab. That will give you the exact change for any building and it's bonuses/upkeep.

    hope that helps.

Unrest is not the only thing. Less public health also affect squalor, ending up in less population growth and higher chance of disease outbreak...

Threfore it's good to counter this negative effect with another building affecting health positively.

If I am going to build something that will adversly affect health I would improve the health of the settlement first.

I've had the feeling that it's best to have the health buildings in place well before you need them. It's probably not necessary but i hate having the plague break out in key settlements (I play as Macedon a fair bit and it's settlements appear to be prone to plague for some reason).

Thanks guys, I tend not to build those mines, which will done harm to public health.
But if I can have the health building in place, would it counter the side-fact of mines?
And it says +600 income, does it mean every turn I would get 600 revenue for that city?

I believe it means +600 revenue to that city and then your factions coffer is filled with (600 x 'tax rate') for that city.

tax rate being a percent of some kind expressed as a decimal, so 600 x 0.33 = 198 into your coffers per turn

    It acts in two ways;

    1) reduces squalor and therefore improves the heath of the settlement - this reduces the chance that plague will break out (by reducing the squalor (sewers etc) it also improves the settlement happiness)

    2) reduces the length of time that plague affects the settlement if the plague breaks out (the plague can be spread by AI agents (spies)) - I don't know how much it reduces the length by I just know it does.....

If I get plague break out in one of my settlements (mainly one that has just been conquered) I make sure I send my spies to that settlement to get infected and then send them to the AI settlements in the area to cause an outbreak of plague in them - it slows them down a bit...... Also send a spy near to a settlement you are about to conquer to make sure the plague is not present there - having a field army and a beloved general get infected by conquering a plague ridden settlement is a bummer.

I think they don't really reduce squalor, they just add health. So yes, they reduce chance to get hit by the plague, but squalor is still there. Unless I'm mistaken you can only counter, but not remove it.

Sewers and upgrades can reduce squalor. I mixed this in along with 'health buildings' which is what they are.

Having refuse in a sewer rather than where it was dropped will reduce squalor.......
