    Default The 200k treasury cap

Yeah, I understand why this is here ....but...

Sadly, it isn't actually capping. It removes the excess and then removes the majority of the money for the turn as well.

Why can't it just leave me with 200k?, I still have to spend money during a turn for god sake. When you have 55 or so provinces you need more than 40k.

Totally agree. Im running my 84 region Roman empire with 30.000 a turn as well...... im currently building so many legions in the hope for a higher upkeep... BUT... as we all know the treasury will collapse when the rebellion starts so its somewhat impossible to have a nice income.

Oh yes im using the script every time, but as the person before me stated: just leave me with 200k

Sure you can see it. But it'll take a little while. Ive been capturing screenies the entire campaign so when I have a decent empire ill upload a whole bunch of shots alltogether.

    Eventually i'll decide to upload

    Hmmm

Well it's almost impossible to get an exact fix on a 200k money cap. The add_money command in the script works in 40000 increments/deductions, It's not perfect and sometimes it seems it's actually taking more from you instead of just capping it, so for example if you had 180k at the end of your turn and you'll make 30k then the next turn your treasury will go all the way back to 170k (it's 180K+30k=210K-40K = 170K).

Mebbe if you knew that you'd have made more than 200k but the script messed up your treasury it'd be fair to use the add_money to give yourself the money needed to cap at 200K.

    Just a thought...

Ummmm yeah, having 150k, I make another load and it goes to 9000 denari. the script did -40k about 5-6 times.

Derp......I guess I can just give myself back the money, although since I didn't use the cheats at all...I will feel dirty. Even though the money is mine.

No, it isn't. The installation is fine. Just the silly way you guys put it together. I have no problems with my mod at all.

And yeah, just saying. Nothing is stopping me from blitzing anyway. - In fact, I have been conducting the lightning war on carthage, spain and greece since turn 1. The only thing this stupid cap does is stop me from building more economic buildings which only help to nerf my treasury back down again.

How about you figure out how to have the treasury actually cap - and not just remove all my turn money.

    Thanks...

I thought the mod took a max of something like 100k away per turn if your over the limit, so if it did do -40k 5-6 times then there is something wrong with your install i believe.

I had a massive profit for the turn. There is nothing wrong with my install. Within that turn, I had taken about 5 new cities and disbanded a bunch of full stacks, I also had a load of ceres temples built and new generals move into cities. I could have honestly gone to above 300k profit.

It might have been 4-5 rather than 6. 4 at a minimum though. If you think there is something wrong, direct me to where I should be looking. With that one exceptional turn though, it usually drops me to 40-50k when I go over 200k during a turn.

I strongly agree with the idea of just having no more than 200.000 instead of the script removing all my money down to 30.000 denarii.... even when the financial tab says that I should have 400.000 denarii. So its not "gay" that the script prevents from blitzing but its just not working good enough..

Can't come up with another way to put it

Well, the theory is that the further you expand from your home territories it's harder to generate money. Clearly there is some point beyind which money simply rolls in all the time and is hard to spend. This would require the territories to have been considerably upgraded by then.

I stil lconsider that such an excess amount of money can be invested in rasiing new field armies - even of you don't use them. They can always be disbanded in a settlement somewhere that needs the population to grow tot he next level.

    Consider what you can do with the excess;

    1) Bribe enemy agents
    2) Gift money to AI factions - "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" (just don't make them too powerful as they could be your enemy next.
    3) Bribe rebel armies

I know that the backgrond script removed much of the advantage of the second option. However, the AI may be able to spend the money so it's not all lost. At least it mayhave been used rather than simply removed from your treasury.

Jep, when im lucky.... see the treasury states that i should be making nearly around 500k a turn, with the cap there its not going above 200... but now it seems like im not getting over the 40k.

So it doenst cap like it should, but even takes MORE money from you than it intended
