It seems like this thread isnīt that much frequented anymore.
If you want an impression of the progress of HRTW, go to the forum on the org.
These are the new faction symbols, posted and made by Asgaroth here.

Linky linky to my last.fm profile! Clicky clicky! If you like anything that ranges from breakbeat to downtempo/chillout, from house to drum & bass, you might find something new in between! (Artist suggestions are more than welcome )
Great mod! Really looking forward to it!

Nice to here that guys. However me and hamelona are the only ones working on the mod.
So we could use some help :
1. We need to make the banners out of those symbols that Primo posted.
2.We need a researcher to help us research the cities that we will put on the map.
3.We need a person who can help us with implementing cities on the map.
Thank you very much Primo for posting our symbols here and giving a good word on us !
he's Luke Vader now, not Primo *while Nightmare Moon is definitely better t'cha*
Annokerate Koriospera Yuinete Kuliansa
I see,but he will remain Primo for me.he's Luke Vader now, not Primo *while Nightmare Moon is definitely better t'cha*
No the team of HRTW fell apart.I thought the cities were already researched, I got awfully long lists of ahowl. If you find no one contact me, I have some (a lot actually) time in a few weeks.
The only one remaining are hameleona and me and we had to start form the beginning.
I don't want to take ahowl's work. That is his work and effort.
If you want you can give me your ideas. But make sure that the cities existed and watch out for the city limit and the factions.
Well, I am a mapper so I do know the limits.
Nice !Well, I am a mapper so I do know the limits.
You are welcome to use my research
Here is the unit roaster for Carthage faction made by hameleona and me.
Citizen militia
Libyan Infantry
Poeni Phalangites
Poeni Swordsmen:
Sacred Band of Baal
Carthaginian Peltasts
Carthaginian Slingers
Poeni Archers
Round-shield Cavalry
Long-shield Cavalry
General's Bodyguard (early)
General's Bodyguard (late)
African Elephants
Indian Elephants
Moorish Javelinmen
Craetarii
Scutarii
Celtic Swordsmen
Numidean Cavalry
Samnite cavalry
Are the sacred band phalangites? They should have the upper hand animation from EB and RS if they are not ( they weren't historically.)
But otherwise, great work and a plus rep from me
EDIT: my rep comment screwed up badly lol
They are Phalangites. You can't have a phalangirte with an overhead animation, because it doesn't make any sense, because they can't lift the heavy sarissa over the head and fight like that.
Thanks for the comment!
I meant hoplites. HOPLITES. Sacred band weren't phalangites historically, I meant something more like this...
I found that they were phalangites somewhere and also I planed changing the name of the mod because the mod is aming between historical part and gameplay and my thought are that the mod will never be 100 % acurrate.
Also I want to say that it is likely that I was wrong about the phalangites.
The overhead animation will be an extra feature of the mod,so people can choose to have it or don't while the game is installed.Originaly the units will be like in the vanilla with no overhead.

Awww, I prefer overhead or at least what rise of Persia does (phalanx that allows them to run for the hoplites) and the sacred band were hoplites, the Carthaginians didn't use phalangites till a lot later, if at all.
Ok. You will certainly have an option to choose.Awww, I prefer overhead or at least what rise of Persia does (phalanx that allows them to run for the hoplites) and the sacred band were hoplites, the Carthaginians didn't use phalangites till a lot later, if at all.
Carthaginians did used phalangites. And Sacred Band were hoplites and cavalrymen.
