Hey edorix, can you maybe find me some portrait of a Briton tribe leader,like Vercingaetorix is to the Gauls ?

I ask you since it is obvious that you are into the Britons and I thought that you can maybe find something.

I need it for the portraits.

The trouble is that, for Britain, no such things exist. We didn't really do portraits!

I can find you a few pictures of random faces of noblemen however, which might possibly represent historical characters.

http://www.britishmuseum.org/images/ps307665_l.jpg - this bronze effigy may represent the tribal leader Cassiuellaunos, who fought off Caesar in the mid-first century bc. This is probably the better choice for HRTW as it is more in the mod's time-period.

These are the most famous. There are others, but none as British in style nor as clear or well-preserved.

But the vanilla one makes the spears too long, and I think they did fight like tht, EB's historical integrity is not to be questioned

And yeah, EB is a good historical source, although it has its flaws
But the point is, that hoplite warfare is impossible to represent in RTW as it (probably) was. So we can just choose the best game-play way.
I actually don't know if the hoplites in HRTW will have the "phalanx" ability - thay may just be normal spearmen (maybe in a shield wall?).

I have discussed with the current mod leader Asgaroth and him and I agreed that it would be best if this thread (along with the other HRTW thread) should be closed since I have left the mod. They will begin there own thread when they are ready. Thank you
