Default My Spain Campaign. (True Barbarian Style)

I am playing as Spain on h/vh right now. To increase the difficulty I banned myself from loading. If I lost a battle I take it. Even on the campaign map I try to avoid loading back.

I also decided to charge the generals head first into the enemy, in front of the other troops. I am playing a Barbarian race so I am trying to act like one: Lead by example.

    1) Driving Carthage out of Spain

The Carthagians has controlled southern Spain for way too long. Their reign there ends today!

A general gladly gave his life for this victory. He will be remembered.

    2) Driving Gaul out of Spain

These unfriendly Barbarians have no right to be here. Kill them all I say!

Like all Barbarian generals, he charge head first into the enemy and was killed. But the glory of his victory will live forever.

    3) Gaul's counter strike.

The Gaul didn't back down, and send their vast armies against Spain. Our faction leader rode toward to meet them. But he met his doom and the battle was lost. We lost over 1,000 men. With this, there is only 1 family member left in the whole clan.

Upon hearing this news, his son in anger gathered all men available to get his revenge. The army includes many horribly trained Peasants and Town Militia. If he dies, the whole faction will be destroyed and become a loose rebel group.

The Peasants and Town Militia, with warrior's hearts, held the superior enemies in place, so that our Skirmishers and Slingers can hit them from a far. Our leader's 100 horsemen fought without reserve and charged in head first. And at the end, the first true test to our race's existence is over.

    4) Ireland

With new land and victories, many new generals joined our ranks. And thinking that the Gauls won't attack again for a while, 2 of our generals took some men and took over Ireland from the rebels.

However this turns out to be false hope. Our scouts discovered a large amount of Gaul troops approaching our borders.

    5) Duel Forts

Knowing that he didn't have enough manpower to stop the Gaul head on, our wise leader decided to build 2 forts to block the Gauls from the Spanish mainland. All our production facilities can be kept in check during the up coming total war.

    6) Southern Front

The Gauls wasted little time in sieging this fort.

It was a clear victory for us. The Gauls were no match for our cavalry. However one of our generals were too eager and died while chasing the enemy.

    7) Northern Front

The Gaul faction leader decided to lead the army himself against this side. As a mutual respect between the two Barbarian races, our young leader rode to meet him on the field.

With this victory, our leader has become someone who is truly feared both close and afar. His unit, with 8 experience, was probably the strongest unit at the time.

    8) Southern Front 2

After winning a few skirmishes, the commander here grew overconfident. In his hands he has skirmishers and spearmen, intended for fort defense. But instead of waiting for cavalry reinforcements, he charged ahead to siege a Gaul town. He was ambushed and killed by a vastly superior Gaul army. Other than a few cavalry units no one survived. Included in the dead was some experienced Balearic Slingers, while cannot be replaced.

But the vast Gaul army was weakened. However they, just like us, were overconfident. They pressed on to siege our eastern fort. Our reserves of cavalry reinforced the fort.

The place is marked as a site of famous battle. And the once vast Gaul army on our border is no more. Now its time for us Spanish to counter attack.

Īnfrānt nu eşti atunci cānd sāngeri,
nici ochii cānd īn lacrimi ţi-s.
    Adevăratele īnfrāngeri,
    sunt renunţările la vis.

Well brave Barbarian leaders should lead by example and charge in head first. Besides, it keeps the game more exciting and difficult.

    Use spoilers

I was once an Angel of Total War Heaven, but gave up my wings for a life on the sea of battle.
