Huge Roman city in Italy - if the Romans are wiped out too early, or driven out and never allowed back in, no March of Time will occur.
I beat back their first attack with ease. Properly employed, E's can be very deadly, deadlier even than P's and Z's, though they're not as lethal as Paula Abdul or Right Said Fred.

Darn here i thought they get the Persian reforms. Alrighty thanks, -Leon
I think we will get to see something new on the reform front in EB2.
I think it has more to do with how much cultural crossing there was. Armenia didn't have nearly as much greek influence on it, and was much closer to the heart of the persian empire than Pontus.
Pontus was close to the main greek city-states, and its rulers were greek. it makes sense that it would lean more towards the greeks than the persians.

Armenia had quite a bit of Greek influence since the rise of the Seleucids (their kings issued coins with Greek inscriptions starting in the 3rd-2nd centuries BC). Pontic rulers were Persian, while Armenian rulers were... well the royal dynasty originated in Bactria, but they had ruled over Armenia (satraps then kings) since it was incorporated into the Achaemenid Empire.
I don't have a problem with the way this is done in EB, I'm just pointing out a few things.![]()
