Gold/non-gold disc launch error

Hi - apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - there is quite a lot to look through to check.

I have installed TATW including the 2.1 patch on top of an original (i.e. non-gold) install of M2TW and M2TW:Kingdoms. I did patch the install to 1.05 based on a download of a patch from fileplanet that did not mention a gold/non-gold patch distinction - so I think what I downloaded/installed was a 'gold' version.

When I try and launch TATW it says it can't detect the MED2GOLD disc - I have my original Kindoms disc in the drive which will still launch M2TW:K.

I am assuming it is looking for the Gold disc because of the 'gold' patch - can anyone confirm this? And. if so, how far back in the install process do I need to go to rectify it. Also, if needed, is there a link to the correct non-gold (I have the original UK retail copy of M2TW and Kingdoms) patch for 1.05 - preferably to a site that does not require registering with a credit card.

Thanks for the link - thought I may need to reinstall from scratch and apply the above. Just in case I ran the patch anyway and although it said I had already installed it, it must have done enough to mean the program is now not looking for a gold disc. Now playing the Third Age. :-)
