I followed instructions to download KGCM 4.3
changed UAC because i have windows 7
either way when i launch my campaign everything is in the game except....
My control board (what i use to view the units in my city) is shifted down 3 inches, the board itself turns white, the advisor's chin is all i can see, the icons to control the advice are cubes of white

the game menu is white, some of the choices are invisible...
    what do i do...

I bought the gold version of the game

Do you have this problem in 'vanilla' Kingdoms, or v3.0 or v4.2? The best solution is to install in steps and confirm that each step in the process is working before proceeding to the next one.
Also be sure that you have followed the instructions carefully and that you place each one in the correct folder.

Vanilla kingdoms the control bar works perfectly, but once i got 3.0 (installer > ran the mod as a preliminary... It didn't work...> i then installed 4.2 to program files, and 4.3 to C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod
patches were installed to desktop> used their respective installers to move mod

Stop right there. What do you mean by it didn't work? Did it not install, were the graphics corrupted, did it crash to desktop? If v3.0 does not work, then the patches will not work either.
Is this a boxed or Steam version of M2TW?

    it is the boxed version...
did not crash, but in the campaign the graphics were corrupted in the sense that all control icons were replaced by white cubes and the esc menu
had a white box (the frame of the menu, which is supposed to be a graphics paper)
    The Control Bar
the next turn button is a white cube, and only the top half is shown
the unit bar when clicked shows the units jumbled up into a small space of 3 inches and only the top 2mm of it is shown on the bottom of the screen...
do you guys know what i can do to fix the graphics?

There is a graphics fix for v3.0, but the best solution is to install v4.2 which contains the graphics fix, plus you get all the improvements.
Install patch 4.2 to C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War.
This is assuming that this is the folder where your Kingdoms.exe file is located.

Into the ...SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod folder.
