    Just saw this movie on BBC. I didn't know what it was about initially but I was very intrigued by it and watched it till the end. A very interesting concept executed masterfully.

    Anyone else seen or heard about it?

    YES! Are you kidding me?! For Lord's sake, YouTube only spammed it on their front page for like 3 months! Goodness knows how many pop-up banners I x-ed out. "Let's see what YouTube's spotlight is today!....oh hey whaddaya know "Life in a Day" trailers and sneak peaks again....!!!!"

    I guess I shouldn't be so angry, I'll admit it's a neat idea. I just dislike the insane advertising they did and how they only took the "best" submissions, I think if they used more "amateur" clips it would give the film a more genuine, powerful, raw kinda feeling to it. An example of what I mean would be like that "102 Minutes that Changed America" Documentary. THAT'S powerful.

    The cinematography in 90 percent of the submissions looked they were filmed by National Geographic. I know they were just trying to make a good film here but it's negative points in my book.

    Film was incredible. They used plenty of 'amateur' footage where there was actually a story worth showing, but obviously if you're making a movie you're going to choose the well shot, high quality footage over the distorted, shakey mobile phone footage. Usually if something is worth filming someone isn't going to use an Iphone to film it but an actual camera, so I'm not sure why people are so surprised at that. I thought it was perfectly balanced.

    And what exactly makes a bouncer more interesting to watch than a photographer in a warzone or an athlete?

    Oh, that's right. Taste.

    I for example wonder why on earth I would want to watch a day in the life of a junkie. I know exactly what their days look like, because they're all over my country. I'm a lot more interested in what a completely regular person like myself does, only then on the other side of the world. People who are going places and doing things.

    I see Arabs all the time on the news. Only time I get to see a junkie is on the Jeremy Kyle show or on the street.

    Why would it be interesting to watch a footballer/DJ/Bouncer? Is it not quite obvious? Seeing the training etc and what a footballer goes through daily, watching a DJ on the lead up to a big concert etc, seeing a bouncer being a dickhead or getting into fights and stuff. Would be well good.

    You mean, I get to see on Eurosport and MTV respectively daily? A bouncer might be interesting, and I would've liked to see that. Then again, there's plenty of biographies and documentaries of famous bouncers like Lenny Mclean.
