How do I create new projectiles?
The title is pretty self explanatory. Basically, I want to create a "magical" projectile that has no visual effects (i.e. you can't see it and there is no blood cloud or burning on impact). How do I do that? Which files do I have to change?
I couldn't find any tutorials on this topic

Re: How do I create new projectiles?
You can always copy an existing projectile, rename it, change it and give it to a unit.
I do not know how to make it invisible (apart from creating a new model, of which I am not capable), but if you use a bullet at a high speed, it should not be seen easily.
I do not know if a bullet has a trail, but if so, you should be able to remove them with these instructions.
For the blood effect, I would try and create a new effect by copying "man_impact_tiny_set" from "descr_effect_impacts.txt", rename it, remove the "explosive_cloud_blood_tiny" or disable it by setting a ";" in front of it and then replace the "man_impact_tiny_set"of your newly created projectile by the just created empty effect's name.
That's all theoretical, haven't tested yet and cannot guarantee for anything...

Re: How do I create new projectiles?
Thanks a lot. I'll try it out tomorrow
Edit: I managed it to make the bullet completely invisible. In descr_projectile you have to find the first effect_set entry for the projectile you want to make invisible, and search the same entry in descr_flaming_projectiles or descr_artillery_effects(if it's an artillery projectile). There you will be redirected to an effect. Look for that effect and delete the line starting with "model".
The trail is still there, but to be honest, it looks good like that (I used the serpentine projectile instead of the bullet)
