Early Rome Total War

Early Rome Total War is a mod about the beggining of Rome, before the Roman Empire and the Rome Republic. It will concentrate on Italy. This mod will be for Rome Total War Barbarian Invasion 1.6.
There will be 16 or 17 new factions, the factions that are the same are the House of Brutii, House of Scipii, house of Julii and the roman senate(name will proberly change). Over 80% of new units, new campain map of Italy with a new prolouge. Buildings from RTWBI correct and redesigned, including new buildings. New historical events, battles and wonders(not like the pyramids).

So this will mainly be a rise of rome kind of modification?? Where you will be detailing the Italian peninsula before the Romans were a power. Will you be looking to have factions like the Etruscans and such?? just trying to find out more information.

Well I am currently working on other mods, so I don't know if I can help with that, but if I can here is what I can do for sure: 2D artist, and making unit cards.

Oh, for researching purposes, do you have any actual year dates you would like to see the mod. focus on?? Obviously the end date will be about when Rome was really becoming a superpower, so maybe before the Punic Wars-era??

Im not sure if you are aware but there is already a mod about the Romans before they became powerful: Paeninsula Italica, plus there are nowhere near enough skilled modders around to fill half the positions you have put, also do you have any modding experience yourself?

Well, its not like some people can't do more than one job. If not enough people express interest than maybe kburkert will join up with Paeninsula then. Everyone wants to have their own mod. and who knows, maybe enough people will sign up to help with this one.

I'll have to take at look at it. And maybe see if my library has it for me to read, for entertainment if nothing else. Thanks for the suggestion. OH, sidenote: There will be a (hopefully big) preview for our mod coming out the end of next week. I will be posting it in the mod workshop once I put it all together.

If you guys are actually serious about getting some exposure I would suggest getting a thread in the Hosted Community Projects forum. And if you already have one there, use it. More people view those threads than the mod help forums, trust me. Peace

I know, we are working on the mod through anotehr site. Once we have something worthwhile to show I will be posting a thread and maybe eventually getting our own subforum. Thanks for the advice though, Publius.
