    Default 2 Problems: one about shields and another

    I have just made my first own made unit:
    The Gaul Phalanx

    but when I played the game everything went wel untill a saw the shields.
    There was a black square around it.
    Question 1; How can i get red of that black square?

    And when they went fighting their swords were gone and they used fists
    Question 2: How can i prevent that?

    Question 1: This is a problem with the alpha layer
    Question 2: What model did you use (or did you make a completely new one?)

    What do I need to do then with the alpha layer?

    I saw what you mean but if a just place a .tga and no .dds would it work as skin? or does it only use .dds?

    Upload the image to an imagehosting site such as www.imageshack.us

    It sounds like the model does not have a sword as a secondary weapon, unless you can edit models you won't be able to fix this.

    Question 1 is fixed

    Question 2 is Remaining
    Does anyone how to fix it.
    I started with the skin if gaul swordmen and didn't touched the sword or the alpha channel

    I can make the phalanx better but i can not model and i have the same problem with this models.

    If you have not edited the model at all then you will have this problem as the sword will be set as the primary weapon in the model, and it needs to be renamed to secondary weapon.

    If you have 3ds max, then open the model in it and rename the sword from primary weapon to secondary weapon, if you don't, nothing.

    Can't somebody do that for me because I only have maya and I don't know how it works! :original:

    You can't edit RTw models in Mays, you can only edit them in 3ds max. Nearly every single RTW modeller is busy working on mods, there aren't enough to do everyone's models requests.

    But if I change the model to the hoplite-model, and change the skin of it, would that work?
    And where do I need to do that, in descr_model_battle.txt? :original: :original:
