    Default Armor matters

While I was looking at export_descr_unit I notice that the developers at least took a moment of thought to consider armor types. Now I was wondering, has anyone made a mod that takes into account the different types of armor? Is that even possible? As we all know different types of armor are better at protecting against different things. Leather protects well against blugening (however you spell that), plate (breastplate or the Lorica Segmenta) is great against piearcing weapons, and chain protects the wearer from arrows and slashing. If a mod like that could be made it would add a great deal of depth the game. No more higher number in the armor slot equals better armor equals better defense equals better soldiers. Does any one understand what I'm saying?
The enemy of my enemy dies next.

Yes, but it's hardcoded so we can't change it.

No thing is everything. Every thing is nothing.
