    PIKES FOR ALL 1.0

    You like armored pikemen ? Make them available for all european factions, or just for YOUR european faction (and Scots, of course!)


    FEATURES :

    Heavy Pike Militia with their faction's designs for Aragon, Denmark, England, France, Hre, Hungary, Jerusalem, Kiev, Lithuania, Genoa, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Novgorod, Sicily, Leon, Teutonic Order, and Venice.

    NOTE : You can see on all pictures their armor upgrade on the right side of the picture, except for Montesa and Aragon wich are on the left side.

    INSTALLATION :

    1. Unpack file

    2. Choose folder for your version, with or without Real Recruitment.

    3. Choose "ALL PIKES" folder if you want to give all factions described above to have armored pikemen, or choose your faction's folder if you only want you to have them (except for Scots, of course, they already have them !)
    NOTE : Any option you choose, you'll be able to use them for all factions in custom battles.

    4. Copy all files inside SS 6.3 data folder, overwrite when asked.


    COMPATIBILITY :

    Designed for SS 6.4.
    Should work with any submod that doesn't modify battle_models.modeldb, export_descr_buildings.txt, and export_descr_unit.txt.
    Oh, and it's savegame compatible.


    OTHER FEATURES :


    Also Solves the Hospitaller Knights final armor upgrade bug.

    Some more information : Small drawbacks are that this is not a "real" units creation mod, therefore you'll see that unit info and UI icons will be the same as for Scotland. This explains why you can't have both templars and St.John's pikemen, since there's only one "noble pikemen" unit for each faction. Check the mod's description to choose wich chapter to built to have them.

    Indeed I did not have the time to do this, and also there's the unit max number problem, I didn't want to remove any.
    On the other hand, the good thing is that it doesn't remove anything, it only adds units so that compatibility problems are reduced to a minimum.

    Also it would have taken a LOOOOOOOOOOT more time to do it, and release would have been next year . Not to mention I'm about to move out from my appartment at the end of the month, wich means no more internet for several weeks !

    Let me also mention that anyone who feels like doing it is free to do it with my blessings

    And remember : If you can't wait to test those units, remember the custom battles ! Just don't forget to check "all" in the "period" prompt, and that you can test them for all european factions even if you've chosen pikemen for your faction only.

    This mod is designed for 6.4, I'm pretty sure it's not compatible with earlier versions of the mod. Main files changed are battle_models.modeldb, export_descr_buildings.txt, export_descr_unit.txt.
    export_descr_buildings.txt is definitely different between 6.3 and 6.4.
    ui folder only adds images, this can't mess with anything.

    I'm not sure what else is changed between 6.3 and 6.4, maybe old timers here will be able to tell you that.

    Keep in mind that the core of this mod is battle_models.modeldb, if this file isn't changed between 6.3 and 6.4 and you want this mod for 6.3, just compare export_descr_buildings.txt and export_descr_unit.txt from my mod to default 6.3, with the key words "heavy pike" and "noble pikemen", you'll see you won't have to do much to adapt it.

    But anyhow before that we would need someone to confirm or not if battle_models.modeldb is modified between 6.3 and 6.4.
