CoW not recognizing the disk

Hi I still search help with my ufortunatly ongoing problem.

I tried both the original DL (from the russian site) and the one hosted here which Gigantus modified.

But with both I ran into the problem that CoW failed to recognize my CD while the vanilla MedII does not.
After now another fresh download I changed to the following (which I asked in the technical forum but was redirected here).

unfortunatly with a very similar result, I get an error demanding to insert the (which of course is inserted).

However 2-3 sek. before that now a DOS like Window pops up (from the .../Call_of_Warhammer/FPS_Booser.exe) stating:

"Press any key to restore normal timer frequency"

However if I try only the error pops up (sometimes even if I press nothing).

So can anyone help me to fix this? I would quite appreciate it.

Sorry for the double post but I have an update to the whole thing.

I think I found the source of the problem through try and error. It is the patch for the Gold Edition, or to be more specific the german patch which I am forced to use as I use the german version.

As soon as I install that one it starts the vanilla Med II just fine, but alle expansions (teutonic for example) and mods get the error.

I shall take this back to the general techinical difficulties forum. Sorry.

No problem, the DOS window was actually for the FPS Booster that starts with CoW.
