    Default Question about Selucids

    I have a question about Catapharact cav and artillery. The custom battles have them in their unit roster, but I cannot recruit them according to building browser. Actually the same for the artillery except the building browser shows them recruitable beginning with the archery level building. However, I cannot recruit them, and I was wondering if anyone could help?

    Its either a MP balance issue [ie make factions fair] so u cant av em for single player, or missing fields on unit dat and buildings dat. Hopefully Lt will post why this is so, he normaly does.
    Best bet if u want the troops available is to mod them in, if dont know how its easy just post a reply and ill post how to do it, or if ur really desperate ask me nicely ill do it 4 u and mail u it.

    Its balance reasons, Remember that While you can play other factions in SPQR, that it is designed to play as Rome, the hardest thing is to catch TEXT errors and that is what that is that says the siege weapon can be made and really cannot, I missed the text, there are probably more but not many for other factions. Seleucid was not my priority. lol But over all I dont consider text errors as a bug, but it could be depending on how you look at it. The cats not being available is for Campaign balance Seleucid has almost every unit under the sun, and I felt cats were TOO much for Campaign, but balanced for MP.

    You just want to make it hard for us Alexander-impersonators don't you LT? I've been trying to tweek things like this out of existance since I started playing SPQR. LT has a evil spirited Balance crazy streak.

    Thanks for the clear up guys. I kinda wondered, but hey even in 1.5 un-modded Selucids get creamed early on in most of my campaigns except in the XGM mod for some reason. Thanks Bigbudd for the help offer, I do know how to mod (units that is) :original:.

    One more question Lt: Do Selucids have a seperate cat. unit card, and export_descr. unit, etc., or do I have to use the Eastern Cat. ? Thank you.

    Off hand I believe they use the same model.
