Renegade fighters

Can anyone tell me why some of my hoplites keep running away from the battles. I don't mean the whole unit, I mean like one or two or somtimes as many as twenty men will just run in some random direction and jump around like they are being hit repeatedly. It's really annoying. Does any one know how to fix that? Is it just me or do other experience this? I don't think It started happening until I patched to 1.5.

Have you tried reinstalling? Sounds like a corrupt file somewhere or another. Uninstal RTW completely then reinstall and patch it up. If that doesnt work, then you have more of a problem.

Nope this is RTW 1.5 bug, nothing anyone can do about it.

Well 1.5 is the latest patch for RTw, so im not sure how patching Bi would help?

What all does BI replace from the original RTW. Here's my question. I installed BI and it didn't work. The reason for that was because when I installed RTW Gold it put all the files directly into the Creative Assembly file. I made a sub file and put all the files in there. So when BI was installed it just made a new Data file for stuff it was going to update in RTW. Now if I just drop that data file into the RTW file it will replace about 20 hours worth of work on my part. What I want to know is this. Is there anything in BI worth me going to all the trouble of installing it and remodding? If I were to take the data folder out of the RTW folder, put the new BI updated data folder in there and then put the old data file in there and have it replace all redundant files rather than the other way around would the game still work properly with any updates that BI brings to it?

Bi installs to its own folder inside the RTW folder. Am im not sure i know what you are trying to say. If you have Gold edition(i don't), doesn't it install both BI and RTW at the same time?

No, it comes in four disks. 3 are like Vanilla RTW and the fourth is BI. They have to be installed seperatly. What I'm trying to say is that BI puts some stuff in the original RTW data folder. If I took that out and put the BI update in, then when I put the original back in, it would replace all the redundant files. The BI files won't replace the original. But I guess you haven't done anything like that so It doesn't matter.

So you are bassically trying to install BI then reverse it patching RTw to 1.5? If so, won't work, the patching process also modifies the .exe, and some of the text files have new features in 1.5 so your old files will not work. Its best for you to try and convert your modded files to 1.5.

There in 1.5 already. What I really want is to be able to use the shield wall in RTW.

Little off topic but... do you know how to conver .tga files into pictures. I would love to put some screenshots on my desktop.

Well then what are you worried about? 1.5 is the highest RTw can go, gold edition is RTW 1.5 and BI 1.6. /You need to use the -my_mod command line on the shortcut to get Bi features in RTw such as the shield wall, though many BI features can be done in 1.5 anyway.

You need a program capable of opening them, i can suugest DXTBmp which allows you to save them as bmps, then you can open them in paint and save them as jpegs.
