    Default Adding new units

    Hi

    I don't know wether this is the place to ask this, but I noticed far more people come here so...
    I'd really like to put like one or two units of TATW (gondor infantry and gondor knight) inside Stainless steel 6.4.
    I've looked at the guide how to add new units to the game. I did what I ha to, changed the battlemodels, changed the export_decr_units and copied the textures and mesh files.
    Then I started the game, but didn't start.
    Could someone please help me a bit adding these units to france?
    I'd really like to know how, it would make the game even more greater for me!

    a) its better to ask this stuff in the modding section of the mtw2 forum

    b) the probable answer is that your over the hardcoded unit limit (which ss6.4 is at or just one below i forget which) and thus adding new units breaks the game. So you need to remove some units before adding any in.

    C) i don't mod anything more than text files in general and minor adjustments so i could be missing something. Good luck!

    In your SS main folder is an log file... post the error message!
    There are too many possibilities what could have gone wrong...

    I copied the mesh files, the textures, now the game does start but when I start a custom battle with the new units, just before the game crashes (medieval2 has encountered an unspecified error and will now exit) I can see there is only one single man standing in the field... so no 150 men or something...

    sorry, I do see 150 men but the game always crashes when the battle would start...

    Don't multi-post, you can edit your posts

    Why did you add gondor guardsmen, you posted that you wanted Gondor infantry

    If you post your log, we can see whats the problem

    Sorry, I've tried it with gondor guardsmen, the units just don't seem to appear on the field and it crashes..

    Unspecified error, hmm, that's useful

    I think the problem is in modeldb, try this tool

    In the download is a modeldb checker, you should use that

    that red place wrong.u must write there instead this gondor_guardsmen

    I've checked the battle models, checked it twice, checked it again
    Now, the game starts, the battle starts, I can see the guardsmen while the captain does his speech.
    But then, when I click "start deployement", again: unspecified error, will now exit..
    Don't know what I forget or what I'm doing wrong...

    did u add a new number in the top of the model.for example if it writes there 807 make it 808

    also post a normal log.there is no information in the log which u ve posted.

    currently i ve not m2tw kingdoms installed.but i got both tatw2.1 and ss6.4 in my flashdisk.as soon as i install my kingdoms back i ll make it for u.

    Couldn't it be something totally else, something I must be missing?
    It's really weird seeing the units on the battlefield, you would say that everything is correct, but pressing the button "start deployement" crashes the game..
    it's probably something really small and stupid that I'm forgetting or that I've done wrong..
    really depressing... so close and still..

    look also u write for owner slave too.but in modeldb entry i dont see entry for slave.

    open the edu and delete slave and this symbol , this symbol,,,,,,,, from ownership place
