    Default Jerusalem

    Hello all. I noticed that in SS 6.4 Jerusalem is represented as a Northern European city. Could someone tell me how to change the skin on the strat and battle map back to a Muslim or Eastern city type.

    Not 100% sure, but I believe this is how you do it.

    data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    settlement
    {
    level large_city
    region Jerusalem_Province

    year_founded 0
    population 1000
    plan_set default_set
    faction_creator jerusalem
    building
    {
    type core_building large_stone_wall
    }
    building
    {
    type barracks town_guard
    }
    building
    {
    type hinterland_roads roads
    }
    building
    {
    type wonders3 wonder_holy_sepulchre
    }
    building
    {
    type wonders4 wonder_dome_rock
    }
    building
    {
    type taverns brothel
    }
    building
    {
    type port port
    }
    }

    I believe that faction creator line determines what the settlement will look like on the map. So changing it to having an eastern faction as the faction creator should change it to looking like an eastern settlement I think.

    If what kevindrosario suggested doesn't work you might have to follow the tutorial in this link :S

    Just tried it out and it does indeed work. Changing it to Egypt made it look like an Egyptian city on the strat map.

    BTW, is there any way that the city will continue eastern like even after I upgrade from minor to large city? for example conquering tunis from the moors as sicily
    Cassius: "Our men at arms have secured the city. We've received representatives from all the best elements. The senate is with us, the knights are with us."
    Brutus:"The pontifs, the urban cohorts, the lictors guild..."
    Antony: "Oh, the lictors guild, very good. Only rally the bakers and the flute players and you can put on a festival."

    Changes to descr_strat are not save game compatible.

    Nope. You can only build your own cultural buildings, I'm afraid. It will always upgrade to your faction's cultural flavour.
