    Default pike and shot event

    Heya

i would like to know how to make pike and shot event to happens earlier.
if i m right it happens at 1530 and i would like to make it happens at 1500.

    what file should i modify?

one more question, can you confirm me the 3 first ranks of musketeers actually shoot or only two ranks?

    thx a lot

btw if you have some good submod to advise me (i like late era, renaissance, pike and shot stuff)

i already installed reallybadAI which is great, please give me submods ideas.

+ rep to the ones who will post valuable infos and answers.

    best regards.

Check this out: go to imperial_campaign and look inside descr_events.text there search for pike and you will see a number on the left. This i think represents numbers in turns, so if you change it, by the next turn you will have the event. try it...

    @and check this also..

I'm relatively sure that changes to anything in the imperial_campaign folder are NOT
    compatible with current save games.
However, what Eldorien suggested works, but to get it working, you'll need to start a new campaign.

A simpler fix might be to edit in the export_descr_buildings what events the unit requires to
    have happened already.

No the number is the number of years after campaign start, not turns

Two links to which sub-mods to try. First one is just a general one, it was a thread I commented on, but I'm sure there are others if you search for them. Second one is Ichon's sub-mod, it creates a campaign that starts in 1390, which is late era/renaissance/pike+shot. I'm not certain if it's completed though :S

As for the Musketeer ranks, I tried to test it in custom and it seems like only 1 rank fire each time :S

The default timescale for SS is yes. But when you change the timescale, because the events file uses years, you dont have to go through and change each one to match the new scale. One of the smartest things CA did
