Billmen

Playing England for the first time and I've just got to the event where I can recruit billmen, dismounted kings men and armoured swordsmen. I was just wondering if billmen are as legendary as they were in medieval 1 and whether it's worth putting a few in each army.

They die like flies until you can Armour them up, but are far better than spear men.

So is it worth just sticking with kings men and armoured swordsmen then?

I don't think so because those guys aren't able to stand up to a cavalry charge(not that anybody really can), and billmen are far more economical...

Billmen + Heavy Billmen aren't the strongest units, but they have ap weapons, bonus against cavalry i think, and they have a wayyy higher replenishment rate than dismounted king's men and armoured swordsmen, which is great Solid troops for any English army.

Well that would be a little bit expensive! No Billmen are fine as general fodder, and are great for killing heavy cavalry if used right.
