Can't select any faction

Hi all
I've made a custom campaign for Third Age total war which I tried to put in game but when I select the campaign in the menu, I can't select any faction

I dunno if it's what I think, but try to reduce the size of the "select faction".

- Are all the faction icons working?
- Correct entries in descr_sm_factions.txt?
(Probably true, just have no better idea... )

Have you done any editing besides the Descr_strat?
Ive encountered this problem before, sometimes, its because of something in the EDB file, sometimes, its because you miss edit a name in the descr.Strat and the names conflict, sometimes, simply you forgot to add or remove a script somewhere.

This is very strange, if I use this campaign as the imperial_campaign, it works, but as a custom campaign it doesn't. Strange

I can start a campaign with Rohan, by just clicking on start campaign, but I cant select any faction

Sorry for the double post, but it seems this is a feature because it also happens with the fellowship campaign in vanilla Third Age total war. Does anyone know how to disable it?

Hi mate. I did some research and I have found out what the problem is. You need to do the following:

1. Go to: ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data\menu
2. Disable the following file by renaming it from: ''mtw2.lnt'' to for instance: ''mtw2 - backup.lnt''
3. Enable the following file by renaming it from: ''mtw2 (use for custom campaigns with several factions).lnt'' to: ''mtw2.lnt''

Now that you have effectively swapped both files, you can now finally select and play with the factions you want in your own custom campaign. Have fun with modding!
