Hi,

Any guide to properly utilizing ALX.EXE to play the Imperial campaign, the vanilla campaign, without the "invincible general" glitch.

Patch your game to the latest version. The glitch was fixed in version 1.5

Ignore the previous poster - what they've posted is irrelevant.

R:TW Alex was released as 1.9 and there've been no updates.

The following thread explains the changes you need to make to use the R:TW Alex exe for R:TW mods (here). I presume it can be used for vanilla R:TW.

It probably makes no sense to use R:TW Alex exe for R:TW BI as it does not allow shieldwall and swimming. I'm not sure if it allows 'hording' either.

The generals are not invincible in R:TW Alex - the Faction Leader is immortal in that they cannot die of old age - but they can be killed in battle.
