    Default What causes the trait "Absent Minded" to occur?

    I didn't want to make a whole thread about this but what causes the trait "Absent Minded" to occur? It seems every one of my faction leaders gets it eventually.

    Affects AbsentMinded 1 Chance 9


    There isn't an exact trigger, it's just a 9% chance for your fl to get it each turn :/

    WTF? So after 11 turns every FL will be absent minded with probability 91%? Seriously, whoever programmed traits needs to read some probability theory.

    I think there are a bunch of other related traits, and the faction leader can't get "absent minded" if he has any of them in the first place. So the 9% isn't too bad.

    I think it's you who needs to read up on probability. It would be roughly 64.5% probability of having it after 11 turns.

    My bad, pressed wrong button on the calculator (1-0.81^11 instead of 1-0.91^11). However, the probability is still awfully high. With 2TPY it will mean that after 10 years the FL will most surely have it. And considering that FL is usually around for 20-30 years...

    Yeah, but it's also possible to get the other FL traits...check out this guide by oxxid, it'll tell you how to get every single FL trait

    Is there a guide for kid's characteristics? I seem to get awfully many "Oedipus complex" kids.

    Uh...check export_descr_character_traits but I think it's one of those set 5% chance each turn no matter what :S I don't use that particular sub-mod anymore though :/
