Default Trying to Mod little things

I like to try modding little things, but have not grasp of the RTW software setup -

    I have three questions:
Where and how can I change the unit's training cost?

And where do I find the income files?

Is there a general description of the software setup?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Most of the editing is done through text files which can be found in the data folder of the RTW folder. The unit costs are found in export_descr_units.txt, there is a description at the top of the file that describes how it is laid out and what each bit means.

Income is dependant on a variety of factors such as trade, farms etc, the effects off buildings can be edited in export_descr_buildings.txt.

The income itself is trickier to mod since it comes from multiple sources. Your base income (independent of population) is from farming. Farming level is set in the regions file as I recall (or descr_strat, it's been awhile since I looked) and each region has a base farming level. Each level adds X denarii of income. Each increment also adds 0.5% population growth.

Trade is controlled by many things: types of resources, distance to trading partners, roads, port levels, market levels, what partners have to trade, etc.
